JR'S New York Taxi

production

There were various stages of production to this project.

This began with initial workings out of scale and proportion due to the increased width to fit the brief of an 8 seater booth. The first stage of production was framing the body of the taxi, then using 19mm MDF to cut formers to provide the various curves for the body of the taxi.

We then used sheets of ply to lay over the frame to create the solid body. The next step was fibre glassing the whole body of the taxi before filling and sanding to ensure a perfectly smooth finish before priming and painting.
